Nonbelievers of Greater Madison
Spring Family Picnic

2009
Who: This gathering is for all who, because our personal beliefs differ from those of our fellow citizens in traditional religious communities, identify with the "nonbeliever" category recognized by our president in his inaugural address.
"For we know that our patchwork heritage is a strength, not a weakness. We are a nation of Christians and Muslims, Jews and Hindus, and non-believers."
- President Barack Obama
January 21, 2009 Inaugural Address
Why: To join in a grateful celebration of our president's recognition, to affirm the constructive role we play in our society, and to meet others in our local community of nonbelievers.
Nonbelievers are Believers Too - Greg M. Epstein, Humanist Chaplain of Harvard University
